Putting Students First.

Leading with Accountability.

Building Oakland's Future.

I’m Kathryn Camp, and I’m running to represent District 4 on Oakland’s School Board.

Our district is at a critical moment. Oakland needs leadership that is accountable, steady, and ready to meet this moment with clarity and purpose.

As a proud OUSD parent, I know our schools need more than promises - they need fiscal responsibility, equity, and meaningful action guided by long-term strategy.

Every decision must start with students - and every child, no matter their neighborhood, deserves access to a high-quality education.

That means protecting classrooms, supporting teachers, using resources wisely, and making decisions that reflect clear priorities and real accountability. It also means bringing people together and providing the kind of steady leadership that can navigate complex systems, ask hard questions, and stay grounded in what matters most: student outcomes, thriving schools, and a district that works for the communities it serves.

I believe Oakland is full of people who care deeply about our children and want schools that are worthy of their potential. With sound judgment, better execution, and a real commitment to community, we can build a school system that serves students well and makes families proud.

I’m running because our students deserve more - and it’s time to deliver.
